At Padma Yogi you will always practice in a safe, welcoming and encouraging environment.

All of our classes are taught by doula, childbirth educator and registered prenatal/postnatal yoga instructor Melissa. Melissa has taught over 400 pregnant women and has supported over 40 women during labour, childbirth and postpartum. She uses her specialty in fertility yoga, prenatal yoga, and postnatal fitness to help new or expecting mother find stillness and relaxation.

As a birth and postpartum doula, Melissa provides her clients with comfort, warmth, compassion and empowerment. Her passion for helping new moms is what inspired Padma Yogi—she finds greats joy in welcoming new life into the world.

During Melissa’s initial yoga training, she received the spiritual name of Padmavati. Padmavati (or Padma for short) means keeper or holder of the lotus flowers.

Whether you are trying to conceive, looking to strengthen your body during pregnancy or seeking an interactive fitness session with your baby, Melissa and her team welcome you with open arms.​
