Melissa has taught over 550 pregnant persons and has supported over 65 families during labour, childbirth and postpartum. She uses her specialty in fertility yoga, prenatal yoga, and postnatal fitness to help new or expecting parent find stillness and relaxation.

Whether you are trying to conceive, looking to strengthen your body during or after pregnancy or seeking an interactive fitness session with your baby, Melissa and her team welcome you with open arms.

Whether you are trying to conceive, are a few weeks pregnant, baby is due in a few weeks or your baby is here, we have the birth & doula support you need during this journey. Additional packages are available if you require more support.

Doula Services



Childbirth Education

We offer in home private childbirth education classes that are affordable. Our most popular package includes four hours on private instruction and we focus on things that are important to you. We will meet once before your due date and review everything that happens in labour, at your birth location, how to cope in labour and what to expect in the first few days. I'll also help you prepare your birth preferences which you can share with your healthcare provider. After you've had your baby and are back home, we will meet again for two hours, where we review basic newborn care, feeding support, review your birth and help answer any questions you have about transiting into parenthood.


Birth and Labour Doula

As your birth doula, we take the time to get to know you and the support services that best suit you. We practice comfort techniques including massage, birth ball, rebozo, temperature, deep breathing, visualization and positioning. We will be with you and your birth team during your labour and delivery as a constant support system, whether you are delivering at the hospital, birth centre or at home.


Postpartum Doula

Postpartum support services begin with a complimentary 30-minute consultation. We take the time to learn about you and your wishes postpartum, as well as answer any questions you may have. Services include newborn care, postpartum parent care, sibling and partner care, household assistance and overnight support. We also provide education on newborn basics to help ease the transition of a new family member.


Fertility Yoga Classes

Fertility Yoga benefits anyone who is starting to try to conceive, has been diagnosed with unexplained infertility, has polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) or endometriosis, has had one or more miscarriages or is undergoing assisted reproductive technology treatments (ART).  You will be encouraged to connect to your body and adapt your practice to how you are feeling and where in your monthly cycle you are.


Prenatal Yoga Classes

Practicing yoga during pregnancy is a great way to stay active and help alleviate many of the common discomforts including nausea, back pain, swelling, fatigue, constipation, sciatica and leg cramping. Prenatal yoga also provides the opportunity to develop a greater awareness of your changing body and modifying your practice to your unique needs.


Postnatal Yoga Classes

Postnatal yoga classes are designed with the postpartum body in mind. A blend of yoga and pilates targets the pelvic floor and abdominal core muscles, restoring and rebuilding the body. Classes focus on strengthening muscles and increasing energy levels. Choose from an individual class or a six-week pelvic floor and restore series. Classes are safe for both vaginal and caesarean delivery. 


Padma Yogi offers support to all families, communities, cultures and religions. Melissa provides culturally sensitive care.
